Animated Covers by Kerry Callen
Oh, man these are crazy!
BATMAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING???????????????
Is it strange that I think animating it makes Steranko less trippy?

Now that IDW has the Mars Attacks! license, Martians are attacking pretty much everything. Transformers I can sorta see; they’re both aliens. Ghostbusters…I guess Martians might have ghosts…or something. Judge Dredd…poor decision (and my favorite of the covers). Popeye? Really?

Best comic I’ve read all day.
See, stories like this would get me to read more superhero comics. ‘Cuz this is superb.

I just posted something I’ve been wanting to write for a long time: an essay on how NOT to write comics criticism. It’s my personal hit-list of the top ten intellectual misconceptions, dumb shortcuts, and silly cliches that I encounter in otherwise intelligent book reviews, articles, and interviews.
